I can’t believe a month has come and gone! I’m so happy that I was able to take part in this plan and learn so  much more not only about myself but also food and how you can truly eat after 7pm! When I started this I was very unsure because we always hear all these myths about trying out diets or plans. My goals all along were to create healthier habits and curate a routine of eating! 

Following the guidelines  has given me better eating habits by having me  eat more of the RIGHT foods at the right time.  One of my favorite tools that Joel lays out for you is the morning routine!

Egg Muffins were bomb, and a life saver for on the go days!

Always Eat After 7pm Week 3

Hey guys! If you all have been keeping up with the latest challenge I am back with an update!( I’m so excited)   If you missed out, don’t worry you can always catch up! Here are posts 1 and 2.

 I stated in my first post that my goal from this whole thing was to get back on my healthy habits and curate a routine for myself!  I’ve for sure accomplished that. I have a new routine of eating and I am eating after 7pm, which I told you guys is usually when I am up a lot of the nights as a creative! 

The awesome thing about “Always Eat After 7 PM” by Joel Marion is that while this is a lifestyle change it’s very easy to follow with all of the meal planning as well as  the recipes!  ( The No bake Salted Caramel bars are sooo sooo good)

I also liked that my eating isn’t aligned with the everyday way of eating. “Going without breakfast is part of intermittent fasting (IF), also called time-restricted feeding (TRF). IF is a pattern of food consumption that cycles between fasting and eating in specific time periods. There are various ways to do it; one of the most common is the 16/8 protocol, which involves 16 hours of fasting—typically done overnight—with an 8-hour window in which to eat each day.”

This has  for sure helped me keep my weight controlled and since I’m only eating the foods laid out in the book, I can see a difference in my overall feeling. I’m more aware of net garbs, good fats and how each type of food controls my hormones.  I’ve also liked how the book gives options for going out to eat because they know that at some point we will still take part in the social gatherings and outings we love!

Always Eat After 7pm Week 2

 Those of you that have been following me for awhile know that a few years ago I lost a bunch of weight and was really focused on my health and fitness.  I fell off of the wagon and I need to kick start that process so this came at the right time! (woop woop) Catch up by checking out my first post about this!  This time is a great time for me to reset and continue to develop healthier eating habits and create a routine that works for my creative lifestyle!

The research behind “Always Eat After 7 PM” by Joel Marion”, is very precise and clear!  Joel talked about this in some questions:

Q3: What was the most surprising discovery when you were researching scientific data for the diet? A: That almost everything my college education and certifications taught me was NOT grounded in published scientific research.

Wow, this was big. For Joel to really break this down and talk about his own education is very transparent and helps me understand how passionate he is about the book and plan!  Digging deeper into this book and finding out that the majority of what we are taught about diets are false makes me look at things so much differently.

As a creative sometimes I find myself eating later in the evening because I usually stay up late and feel more awake and creative at night! (I’m always burning the midnight oil)   It’s so good to know that I wasn’t necessarily  sabotaging myself.

We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal”
